I made this Ursa Major embroidery some time ago based on your frog embroidery tutorial (see the on/off switch on the hoop--thank you for that!). I used a Lilypad twinkle controller to make the stars flicker independently of each other. I also used LilyPad LEDS under the topstitched fabric so when it is switched off, all the lights are hidden from view and it looks like a normal embroidered piece. I saw the Ursa Major bear cartoon used in another embroidery, so I copied its design for my personal project only. I just wanted to thank you for being the inspiration behind this project of mine--all from your frog embroidery project! I wish you could see a movie of it twinkling.

Thank you so much for your comment. It did take a lot of energy and worry if we could pull this off, but the learning and experience that we gained was far worth it.
Oh you should have seen the fades/sparkles/etc that my husband wanted to program in! I just wanted to Keep It Simple until we got home from out-of-state and I promised him then he could add whatever flourishes he wanted to the code. So that was my fault for the lack of a transition! It is easy to add in the code and he can update it if you want.
